Need beta testers for huge ‘Dungeon Falan’ 2.0 update, big homage to ‘Dungeon Raid’ – TouchArcade
You will remember dungeon raid, to the right? The phenomenal match-3 hybrid RPG that launched on mobile over a decade ago but was more or less abandoned by its developer to slowly die on the App Store before the 32-bit Appocalypse finally made it to life. well about 4 years ago. dungeon raid was legendary, and sorely missed, and many the developers have tried their own tricks on its winning formula. One of the most successful of these tributes is a game called Dungeon Falan from developer Burc Tuncer which launched in the fall of 2020. It scratched the dungeon raid itches pretty well, while adding its own unique twists to make it feel like more than just a carbon copy.
It was almost a year ago Dungeon Falan received its latest update, which added new skills and a cool Boss Rush mode. Burc Tuncer had considered the game complete and there were no plans to add anything to it. However, as Tuncer explains in our forums, some major life changes did occur, including a move to a brand new country, and in an effort to feel something familiar, he turned to working on his passion project. Dungeon Falan once again. So over the last few months a big 2.0 update has been in the works which will add new bosses, new skills, a revamped UI, a reworked meta-game and much more, all of which is being showcased. in the above. forum thread. You can see the revamped UI in the screenshot on the right.
Sounds great, but with such big changes under the hood, Tuncer wants to make sure any bugs or issues are ironed out before releasing it to the Dungeon Falan– play to the whole world. This is where you can potentially step in. There’s a link to a Testflight build of the new update in that same thread as above, so go check it out and put that new build to the test. Fair warning though: if you have a game in progress that you particularly like, you’ll want to finish it before diving into 2.0. It may even be necessary to completely remove the App Store version and just download the Testflight version for testing purposes. Once the update feels stable, it will be released as a free update to the existing version of Dungeon Falanhopefully in the not too distant future.
